SUBJECT:       FNM – Travel to the 2008 Joint Annual Meeting of the Geological Society of America (GSA), Soil Science Society of America (SSSA), American Society of Agronomy (ASA), Crop Science Society of America (CSSA), and the Gulf Coast Association of Geological Societies (GCAGS)

The 2008 joint annual meeting of GSA, SSA, ASA, CSSA, and GCAGS will be held in Houston, Texas, October 5-9, 2008.  The joint annual meeting provides interested specialists the opportunity to learn about new and emerging technology and research related to geology, agronomy, and soil science; as well as interacts with other specialists from around the United States and the world.

All employees requesting attendance on a “government time and expense” or “government time only” basis must submit their names to their Area Conservationist or Leadership Team member for approval.  The Area Conservationist or Leadership Team member are requested to then submit their compiled lists to Gail Voiles, by paper or email, by COB July 11, 2008.  The following information is requested for approved participants:

The National Headquarters Division will initiate a form SCS-FNM-72, Request for Meeting Approval, and will notify participants upon receipt of the approval.
