SUBJECT: PER –All Employees Meeting

I am writing to let you know that the All Employee Meeting scheduled for November 6 and 7, 2008 is being postponed.  Due to the late passage of the Farm Bill and late budget allocations, it is not possible to obtain the needed meeting approvals in time to secure space and speakers for this event. 

I remain committed to holding an All Employee Meeting, and my staff will be working on obtaining approvals to hold an event during the 2009 calendar year.  Once all approvals have been secured, including meeting space, the Steering Committee will be re-convened to continue planning for this meeting. 

Thank you for your understanding as we deal with the challenges of an unusual year, and I look forward to a wonderful event when we are able to meet.
