SUBJECT:  CPA – CONSERVATION PLANNING DOCUMENTATION

Purpose:  To transmit revised NRCS Indiana policy on minimum Planning Documentation.

Effective date: When received.

Summary: This transmittal distributes updated NRCS Indiana policy on conservation planning documentation from the previous policy dated October, 2008.  This policy is being issued to reduce paper and to increase field staff efficiency and communication throughout all levels of the Partnership.  This policy and guidance does not supersede any requirements as outlined by specific USDA programs or engineering policy.

The primary revision to the previous policy is that all conservation plans will be reviewed with the Soil and Water Conservation Districts Board, and documentation of their review will be maintained in NRCS files.
