Digitizing QA review materials to submit

These documents require Microsoft Word

Submit a representative 10% sampling of the digitizing project. The following materials and documents should be submitted:

1.        Signed certification statement Exhibit 4.

2.        NASIS Legend and acreage

3.        Soil classification and correlation document and amendments (with Legend and 37A).

4.        Digitized plots* for soils, special features, hydro, cultural, notes, edits, etc. (line color should be different from the source material line color and at same scale as source material, preferably publication scale. Layers can be included on the same plot but preferable if layers are plotted in different colors).

5.        Orthophotography

6.        Map indexes - An index to soil maps and USGS topographic quadrangles or orthophoto quadrangles.

7.        Soil survey maps. Source materials (atlas sheet mylars, etc.) at same scale as digitized plots.

 

* For automated compilation projects (orthomapper, Maple Syrup, etc.) materials may be provided on CD-ROM. Materials may include:

  • Digital full county soils, special features and hydro are preferred.
  • Orthophotography
  • Topographic maps (DRG)
  • Map indexes
  • Original scans of atlas sheets (photo, lines, symbols)
